I’m B-

I work with a Black Feminist perspective to tackle intersectionality, broker new ways of accessible education, and demystify the racial, social, economic, and field-specific barriers that mentors and books have overcome for me to be the academic and museum professional I am

The Summer before the exhibition would be on view. I joined to complete the provenance research for the Barkley Hendricks show. This exhibition would be a rare opportunity to showcase contemporary art alongside Old Masters that inspired the foundation and aesthetic of his work as he emerged in New York City.

Working with Hendrick’s estate, several libraries across the city, and through diligent online research, I sourced every possible documented text written about Barkley Hendricks, his work, and the life he led as an artist, community member, faculty member, and mentor.

Work With Me

As your social media consultant, I can provide visitors with behind-the-scenes information, upcoming announcements, and wayfinding information to make their first or long-awaited visit positive.

  • FAQs to be answered in quick info forward reels and e-blasts.

  • Tips and tricks for avoiding being overwhelmed by a large art show are educational to new art lovers. My goal is to make the experience for visitors and staff much more enjoyable because we all know what to expect.

Where can I make a difference for you?

Art Fairs and Shows

  • Hi- Welcome to your tour guide giving you the skinny of how to enjoy your visit on your next art outing. I’ll link you to the map, special events and programming, and must-see segments in public programming for your exhibition opening, art fair, gallery opening, gallery crawl night, or touring a special collection in a library. I’ll keep you looped into the do’s and don'ts, too, with small kids in mind!

  • Discounts and Deals are part of how locals get around the inflated prices around local events in their city IDNYC is a perfect example of the types of programs that discount museums, attractions, gardens, and other entertainment spaces for New Yorkers year-round

Exhibitions

  • These narratives help us build an understanding of how art and culture impact our communities and the individual. I would highlight the mission, goal, audience, and visiting information for visitors

Collecting Institutions highlight their collections and institutions through featured programming and loaned exhibitions. As the Frick Collection did for the Barkeley Hendricks exhibition, I would love to highlight the contemporary collections and connections that can be made to bridge art mediums, genres, politics, and material culture.

  • Music artists, DJs, art workshops, panels, pop-up markets, food vendors, and more are found on first Fridays, first Saturdays, community days, and institutional and community block parties- allow me to bring out the artsy crowd to dance and enjoy the festivities!

  • New Publications for a museum or gallery coincide with an opening and related programming to celebrate and market the new text and research tap into my community of artists, curators, art lovers, art collectors, students, and museum professionals from across the US and internationally

Art Social Events

  • How many people consider the Gala circuit as the hot spot to be?

As our art collecting base grows younger, meeting patrons becomes a third-party market- imagine meeting your next donor or collector because they knew your Gala celebrating the next elevated artist in the institution and they wanted to share that space and learn more through your hospitality.

Behind the scenes look into the preparation, the artists being honored, and the trailblazing success of the previous year are attractive to the younger crowd- especially with the after-party to look forward to

  • What was the zoom again? What time is the talk? Is it accessible?

Think of me as the guide to the door, the seat, the space, and the community. I’m happy to facilitate a positive experience for people visiting for the first time
